Balancing Dollars & $en$e was presented on Friday, April 15th, 2016 at Center in the Park. The event was sponsored by Center in the Park, Mt. Airy USA, and the LGBT Elder Initiative, along with community partner Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter. Balancing Dollars & $en$e was a day-long series of free workshops and a community resource fair designed to provide individuals age 55+, with information on housing and finances in later life. Attendees were able to attend workshops on topics including legal planning, affordable senior housing, managing finances, downsizing and decluttering, understanding reverse mortgages, and protecting themselves from scams.
