We’re just a few weeks away from Creating Change 2017, being held right here in Philadelphia, PA! Creating Change is the annual conference of the National LGBTQ Task Force. The conference was first created in response to a need for spaces to organize and learn how to make change happen in our own cities across the country. According to their website, “The five-day program includes over 350 workshops and training sessions, plus tons of networking opportunities and ways to meet people who also work in our movement”.
This year the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown hotel will host the conference and its attendees from Wednesday, January 18 to Sunday, January 22 (see the full conference schedule here).
Sounds amazing right?! Well, the best news is that folks 65 years old and older, the conference is FREE to attend! All you have to do is register for the conference through the Creating Change website: REGISTER HERE
If you’re under 65 years old and would still like to get in for FREE, then consider volunteering for the conference for a few hours one day. Volunteers who complete a 4-hour shift are able to attend the rest of the day’s workshops and events for free. VOLUNTEER HERE
