Earlier this month, the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) conducted a 90-minute webinar addressing health care, housing, and employment protections for members of the LGBTQ community. The webinar highlighted specific nondiscrimination laws, information about how to file a complaint, and examples of positive outcomes for LGBTQ individuals resulting from these protections. Presenters also discussed the remedies available to LGBTQ individuals if discrimination based on their LGBTQ status has occurred.
An archive of the webinar is available for viewing here. Registration is required in order to access the webinar archive, though it is completely free to do so.
The target audience for this webinar includes HHS/HRSA, HUD and EEOC stakeholders, including grantees, healthcare providers, public health officials, housing organizations, community-based organizations, and community partners wanting to improve understanding of anti-discrimination laws that apply to the LGBTQ community.
