As the population of seniors continues to grow, the abuse, neglect and exploitation of older adults has become a critical issue we cannot afford to ignore. Financial exploitation, self- neglect, caregiver neglect, and emotional and physical abuse significantly impact a person’s ability to age successfully. This free workshop will explore the ways that elder abuse affects LGBT older adults and will feature experts discussing these issues from medical, social, and legal perspectives. You will learn about how to identify abuse, what to do if you encounter it, and the resources available to protect yourself and others from becoming victims.
