THRIVERS is a monthly discussion group for people impacted by HIV that relies on the personal expertise within our communities to help one another get the most out of life and to take advantage of the opportunities before us.

This month, we plan to have a candid discussion about sex, relationships, and intimacy. We’ll talk about the ways that our sex lives and intimate relationships may have changed as we’ve gotten older as well as the ways that we can continue to meet our needs for intimacy and pleasure. We’ll explore the ways that ageism, ableism, and sexism can impact our sexual expression and hear from participants about how they navigate meeting new partners and developing intimate relationships, whether through apps, websites, or in-person. We’ll also talk about mental health and ways that our emotions can impact our sex drives and the ways that we do (or don’t) pursue sexual relationships.
