THRIVERS is a monthly discussion group for people impacted by HIV that relies on the personal expertise within our communities to help one another get the most out of life and to take advantage of the opportunities before us.

This month, we’ll talk about the importance of assembling an effective care team of doctors, specialists, case managers, and helping professionals. We’ll share the ways that we have gone about identifying the professionals that we want as part of our care team and how we communicate with our various providers to make sure we get the best care possible. We’ll also talk about the ways that our peer support networks can be involved in our care and strengthen our care teams. Participants are also invited to share any challenges they are experiencing in finding professionals and peers to form a strong and supportive personalized care team.
